User guide

Learn how to set up your account, add contacts, send messages and use every AppliChat feature.

Before you start

Install AppliChat and make sure you can access the email address you will use to register your account.

  • Allow notifications to receive message alerts.
  • Enable location by choosing “Allow While Using App” to use mapiChat.
  • During Apple Watch setup, grant location access when prompted.
Important: if you deny location during initial Apple Watch setup, reinstalling the app may be required to enable it correctly.

Account and session

Create an account, sign in on your devices and manage your details.

Log in

  1. Open AppliChat.
  2. Enter your session number.
  3. Enter your password.
  4. Tap Log In.

Create an account

  1. Tap Sign Up.
  2. Turn off “Linked Account” for a new account.
  3. Enter your email address.
  4. Enter the confirmation code sent by email and finish signing up.

Add another device

  1. On the new device, open registration.
  2. Turn on Linked Account.
  3. Enter the email for your existing account.
  4. Confirm the code sent by email.
Result: you can use the same session number on your compatible devices.

Recover your password

  1. Tap Recover Password.
  2. Enter your email address.
  3. Use the temporary password sent by email.
  4. Change it later in Settings.

Share your session ID

  1. Open the session section.
  2. Copy the ID to the clipboard or use the share button.
  3. Send the ID to the person you want to add.

Edit your profile

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Change your username, email or password.
  3. Save your changes.

Delete Account permanently deletes the account. “Log Out” only signs you out so you can return later.

If you don't do so now, you can only enable it by reinstalling the app.

Contacts

Add users, respond to invitations and personalize each contact.

Add a user

  1. Open Add User.
  2. Enter their session ID or scan it with the camera.
  3. Send the request.
  4. Wait for the other person to accept it.

Cancel a request

  1. Find the pending request.
  2. Swipe left.
  3. Tap delete.

Accept or reject

  1. When another user adds you, they appear in the list.
  2. Swipe left.
  3. Choose to accept or reject the invitation.

Edit a contact

  1. Swipe left on the user.
  2. Tap edit.
  3. Change their name or title color.
  4. You can also share their ID or enable silent mode.

Add User

To add a user, you have to enter the session number or scan using the camera.

Apple Watch

You can only enter your session ID manually.

When you add a user, the response will be expected.

If you no longer want to add it, you can delete it by sliding to the left.

If you have been added, the user who added you will appear.

Messages

Send text or voice and identify each message status through its color.

Send a message

  1. Open a contact.
  2. Type in the field at the bottom.
  3. Tap the send button.
  4. Watch the color to check its status.

Edit chat appearance

  1. Open the chat settings.
  2. Choose centered, left, right or chat-style alignment.
  3. Turn shadow and the Glass background on or off.
  4. Edit background, outline and text colors.
Conversation with personalized messages

Confirmations and voice

  1. Enable or disable read confirmation for each chat.
  2. Configure location sharing.
  3. Enable autoplay to hear voice messages when entering.
Remember: without read confirmation, message status cannot be sent. Without location, you cannot share your position or use mapiChat.

Delete messages

  1. Open message editing.
  2. Choose Delete All or select individual messages.
  3. Confirm deletion.

Activate autoplay of voice messages, if you receive a new voice message, it will play automatically when you enter the chat

Use advanced features to make every conversation more useful and personal.

Use mapiChat

  1. Open a conversation with location enabled.
  2. Open mapiChat.
  3. See the location connected to the last sent message on the map.

  1. Open the chat or swipe right on the user.
  2. Press and hold the button to record and send voice.
  3. To listen, swipe right or tap the button with the red alert.

Change the background

  1. Open Edit Background.
  2. Choose internal random images, Pixabay, camera or photo library.
  3. Select an image and confirm.
You can combine the background with random colors, animations and dark mode.

Create an AI Chat

  1. Open AI Chat.
  2. Create a new AI session.
  3. Define its name and personality.
  4. Explain how you want it to communicate and respond.
  5. Save and start chatting.

The map will show the conversation of the last message sent.
